Strawberry keto crumble

This is by far the best keto dessert I’ve tried, it's extremely easy and quick to make, just put some strawberries on the bottom of a baking dish and on top of that a mix of nuts and butter.

Strawberry keto crumble

This dessert has an english origin and it consists in a bottom layer of fruits like apples, strawberries, etc. On top of that are some crumbs made with a mixture of sugar, flour and butter, obviously this recipe is not keto, so I'm going to change it.

You can easily "ketonize" this dessert, we can change the fruit of choice to a fruit low in carbs like berries. For the crumbs, the original recipe has a decent amount of fat thanks to the butter, so I'm just going to change the flour and the sugar for artificial sweetener.

In this case I chose strawberries over other berries since they are cheaper. Another reason to avoid other berries is that they get mushy with heat, this would create a thing layer of fruit and wet crumbs which is no bueno.

For the flour I chose coconut flour because I personally like the taste and because dessert made with almond flour are too heavy for me. If you don't like coconut flour or don't have problems with almond flour, then you can use it without problems. Remember that usually the conversion rate between these flours is for every 1 measurement of coconut flour you need 3 measurement of almond flour.

To serve you can add some ice cream (you can see my recipes for keto ice cream here) or whipped cream.

Warning this dessert is addictive

I have to warn you, this dessert is highly addictive neither my husband or me have a sweet tooth, but we had several portions of this dessert, my husband eat three and he doesn’t like sweet things.
